Educational Philosophy

 To develop human resources who can explore comprehensively from an interdisciplinary point of view on health and medical care.

 

Purpose

 Based on learning about mental health, physical health and medical care, develop human resources capable of research, guidance and practicing in a wide range of fields which can contribute to promotion of health of local residents and the improvement of local health care.

 

Educational Objectives

  1. Develop the ability to conduct research, guidance and practice in a wide range of fields such as medicine, physical education, psychology, nursing, welfare, environment, nutrition, covering the range from basic knowledge of health and medical care to the educational and policy side.
  2. In the field of health promotion and health care, allow the acquisition of abilities to respond to the health needs demanded by the local community.

 

Three Policies

Diploma Policy (Graduation Certification / Degree Award Presentation Policy)

  1. Students acquire rich human nature, high ethical standards, subjective judgment, behavior and communication skills, and an understanding of regional culture and its characteristics.
  2. Understanding the fundamentals of the mind and body concerning the health of the body, voluntarily investigate issues based on the course of the future and acquire the ability to respond to these issues.
  3. Acquiring the ability to respond to the health needs demanded by modern society in a wide range of fields such as medicine, physical education, psychology, nursing, welfare, environment, nutrition, etc.

 

Curriculum Policy (Curriculum Development and Implementation Policy)

  1. Various liberal arts subjects, including compulsory courses such as regional culture theory, have been arranged in order to cultivate an understanding of rich human nature, high ethical standards, subjective judgment, behavioral abilities, communication skills, local culture, subjects relating to the spirit of architecture, basic exercise, Japanese literacy, a foundation in information and language.
  2. Course subjects that allow for consideration of future career paths have been arranged to allow acquisition of basic and practical skills in a wide range of subjects such as medical science, physical education, psychology, nursing, and other necessary subjects to acquire the knowledge of health sciences relating to the body.
  3. In order to foster the ability to respond to the health needs of modern society, we offer the “Sports Science Course” and “Health Science Course”. The “Sports Science Course” allows for obtaining qualifications and licenses for the “Educator Program (health and physical education) “, the “Training Instructor Program “, the ” Health Science Course Education Work Program (nursing care / health / nursing)”, the ” Certified Psychotherapist Program ” and the ” Social Worker’s Program “.

 

Admission Policy

 Acceptance of applicants who have a strong will to pioneer the health needs sought by modern society in the future through learning in the field and a motivation to acquire a profound understanding of culture and literacy, motivation to learn subjectively with a strong interest in an academic field regarding the mind and body, wide range of medical care, physical education, psychology, nursing, welfare, environment, nutrition, etc.

  1. The applicant is willing to learn autonomously with a strong interest in the academic field concerning mind and body, with a deep understanding of culture and literacy.
  2. The applicant has a strong will to pioneer the health needs of modern society.
  3. The applicant aims to acquire the qualifications of “Educator (Health and Physical Education) (Nursing Care, Health Care, Nursing)”, “Training Instructor”, “Sports Leader”, “Certified Psychologist” and/or “Social Worker”.
  4. In addition to continuing to develop skills in the basic high school subjects of “Japanese”, “Mathematics”, “Foreign Language (English)”, the applicant will also choose to learn about “Science and Our Daily Life”, “Basic Biology”, or “Biology”.

 

【Method of judgment in enrollment selection】

  1. The applicant’s willingness to learn autonomously with a strong interest in the academic field concerning mind and body, with a deep understanding of culture and literacy is judged by document examination and interview.
  2. The applicant’s having a strong will to pioneer the health needs of modern people is judged by document examination and interview.
  3. The applicant’s desire to acquire the qualifications of “Educator (Health and Physical Education) (Nursing Care, Health Care, Nursing)”, “Training Instructor”, “Sports Leader”, “Certified Psychologist” and/or “Social Worker” is judged by document examination and interview.
  4. In regard to the applicant’s aptitude and desire to continue to develop skills in the basic high school subjects of “Japanese”, “Mathematics”, “Foreign Language (English)”, the applicant will also choose to learn about “Science and Our Daily Life”, “Basic Biology”, or “Biology”, judgment is based on document examination and examination of academic ability.
